Andrea Garrett graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1996. She commenced Obstetrics and Gynaecology training and was granted Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2006. In 2008 she was granted the Certificate of Gynaecologic Oncology. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Palliative Care (Flinders University) in 2007. She works in both public and private sectors and manages women with gynaecologic malignancy, pre-invasive lesions, hereditary conditions requiring risk reducing surgery and complex pelvic and laparoscopic surgery. She has a special interest in the management of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease. She is currently the State-wide Director for Gynaecologic Cancer Services in QLD and is the CGO Subspecialty Committee Chair.
